Job Overview

Our Farmers Insurance District Office is dedicated to developing high-performing Agents and their teams. We provide strategic guidance, training, and support to help agents grow their businesses, achieve financial goals, and serve their customers with excellence. Were seeking a motivated Agency Business Consultant (ABC) to join our team and partner with agency owners in recruitment, driving profitable growth, improving operations, and elevating customer experience.

The Agency Business Consultant acts as a trusted advisor to Farmers agents within the district. You'll coach and support them on business planning, sales and marketing strategies, operational efficiency, and talent development. This role combines consulting, coaching, and performance management to ensure agencies thrive in a competitive marketplace.

Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance, financial services, sales management, or business consulting.
  • Strong understanding of small business operations, sales processes, and team leadership.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for helping others succeed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Farmers internal platforms.


Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for agency visits.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with agency owners to assess business performance, identify opportunities, and implement growth strategies.
  • Guide agencies in developing and executing annual business and marketing plans aligned with Farmers goals.
  • Provide coaching on recruiting, hiring, and training team members to build strong, sustainable agencies.
  • Analyze production, retention, and profitability metrics to identify trends and drive accountability.
  • Deliver ongoing education and best practices on sales, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the district team to create development programs and workshops that support agency success.
  • Support new agency owners in launching their businesses and navigating early-stage growth challenges.
  • Promote adoption of Farmers tools, technology, and resources to improve agency productivity.
  • Maintain a consistent field presence by meeting with agency owners in person and virtually.
