About the Role
The Agency Apprenticeship Program provides hands-on training with an experienced Farmers Insurance agent. You’ll gain practical experience in sales, customer service, and business operations while receiving personalized coaching to prepare you for agency ownership.
What You’ll Do
Learn by Doing: Work alongside a successful agent to gain experience in sales, marketing, and managing client relationships.
Develop Business Skills: Master the fundamentals of running an agency, including marketing, financial planning, and team building with resources from the University of Farmers®.
Engage with the Community: Build relationships with local families and businesses, becoming a trusted advisor in Grand Rapids.
Prepare for Ownership: Transition seamlessly from apprentice to owning and operating your own Farmers Insurance agency with expert guidance and support.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking individuals who:
Have a self-starter attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Bring sales or customer service experience (preferred but not required).
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Have a positive, growth-oriented attitude and a passion for helping others.
Are willing to obtain necessary insurance licensing (support provided).
