Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: Previous customer service or sales experience is preferred but not required.
Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Basic computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Attributes: Self-motivated, eager to learn, and goal-oriented. Ability to work well in a team environment and independently. A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Licensing: Willingness to obtain relevant state insurance licenses (Property & Casualty, Life & Health) within a specified timeframe.
Training and Development:
Participate in a structured training program covering insurance products, sales techniques, customer service, and agency operations.
Attend workshops, seminars, and online training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Shadow experienced agents and assist them in daily tasks to gain practical experience.
Sales and Marketing:
Learn to identify potential clients and develop effective sales strategies to meet their insurance needs.
Assist in creating and implementing marketing plans to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Participate in community events and networking opportunities to promote the agency.
Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Assist clients with policy quotes, applications, renewals, and claims processing.
Conduct policy reviews with clients to ensure their coverage meets their needs.
Agency Operations:
Gain an understanding of the day-to-day operations of an insurance agency.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining client records.
Learn about compliance with company policies and state regulations.
Product Knowledge:
Develop a thorough understanding of various insurance products, including auto, home, life, and commercial insurance.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in insurance regulations.
Learn to explain complex insurance terms and coverage options to clients clearly and concisely.
