About the Role

As an Agent Apprentice, you’ll gain practical experience by working alongside an experienced Farmers Insurance agent. Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and training from the University of Farmers®, you’ll develop the skills and confidence to transition into agency ownership.

What You’ll Do

Learn the Business: Work with a seasoned agent to gain expertise in sales, marketing, customer service, and agency management.

Build Key Skills: Master client relationship management, business planning, and marketing strategies with expert guidance and training.

Engage Locally: Connect with Princeton families and businesses, becoming a trusted advisor and active community member.

Prepare for Ownership: Transition from apprentice to owning and managing your own Farmers Insurance agency with ongoing support from District 54.

An entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to succeed.

Sales, customer service, or business experience (preferred but not required).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A willingness to obtain necessary insurance licensing (support provided).

Requirements

Licensing: Must possess a valid insurance license for Minnesota or be willing to obtain one within a specified timeframe.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the insurance industry.

Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team toward achieving sales goals.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.

Customer Service Orientation: Strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship-building.

Remote Work Capability: Ability to manage a team and maintain productivity in a hybrid work setting.

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with CRM tools and sales software.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Oversee and lead a team of insurance sales representatives, setting goals and guiding them to achieve sales targets.

Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base.

Client Relations: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in various insurance products.

Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and product knowledge.

Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate sales team performance, providing feedback and support as needed to meet objectives.

Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, outlining successes and areas for improvement.
