Covenant Insurance is a dynamic and friendly independent insurance agency who proudly represents Erie Insurance as our primary carrier. We are looking to add an energetic and positive licensed Customer Service Agent to our team. In this role, you'll work closely with a team to collectively serve our valued Personal Lines clients. This position is 95%+ customer service focused with very limited sales, however, it does include responsibilities to upsell and cross sell the needs of existing clients, ask for referrals and offer life insurance products.

Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

• Property & Casualty Licensed (Experience with Erie Insurance preferred, but not a requirement)
• Exhibits personal responsibility, professionalism, flexibility, and a positive, “can do” attitude
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Expertise in varying computer skills and programs
• Typing should be a minimum of 40 WPM
• Works well independently and within a team
• Exhibits good problem-solving skills

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Handling client transactions such as endorsements, claims, etc
• Cross-selling insurance products
• Entering notes in our Agency Management System (IMS) regarding all client activities
• Answer client coverage questions
• Negotiate with the underwriters on rates and coverage
• Follow-up on requested changes, renewals, and process new business
• Maintain neat and accurate customer files
• Perform special projects as requested by management
