Job Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Business Insurance Sales & Service Specialist to help grow and manage our commercial insurance book of business. This role is focused exclusively on commercial/business insurance sales, account servicing, and long-term client retention.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys building relationships with business owners, identifying coverage needs, providing excellent customer service, and helping grow a strong commercial insurance portfolio.

Salary Range: $35,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Requirements

Insurance experience preferred (commercial insurance experience strongly preferred)

Property & Casualty license preferred or willingness to obtain

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated with a sales-minded attitude

Organized and detail-oriented

Ability to multitask and manage client relationships effectively

Comfortable using agency management systems and technology

Driven to grow professionally and contribute to agency growth

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Prospect and develop new commercial insurance opportunities

Build relationships with local business owners and referral partners

Generate quotes, present coverage options, and close new business

Cross-sell additional commercial products when appropriate

Maintain a consistent pipeline of commercial prospects

Assist with marketing and growth initiatives focused on commercial accounts

Service and manage existing commercial insurance accounts

Handle policy changes, renewals, certificates, claims assistance, and billing questions

Conduct annual policy reviews to ensure proper coverage

Proactively identify gaps in coverage and recommend solutions

Deliver a high level of responsiveness and customer experience

Maintain accurate client records and follow-up activities in agency systems

Help grow the agency’s commercial insurance book through retention and new sales

Develop long-term relationships that lead to referrals and expanded business opportunities

Stay current on commercial insurance products, market trends, and underwriting guidelines

Work collaboratively with agency leadership to improve commercial operations and growth strategies
