Our busy insurance agency is growing! Seeking to fill the position of Agency Support Specialist for a full-time, 40 hour per week position. Spanish Speaking preferred but not required.
Our office hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday – Thursday, Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm.
We are willing to be flexible with the schedule for the right candidate, however during training you must be available during normal business hours. This position is in office currently. No remote options are available at this time.

Salary –
This role is a base plus commission/bonus position. Base is dependent on current licensing and experience. Range of $39,520 - $45,760. There are opportunities to earn commission and bonus for sales and overall agency success. Annual commission and bonus opportunities average an additional $5,000 - $10,000 and up per year. Sales are a mandatory component of the position.
Salary Range: $39,520.00 - $45,760.00 per year

• Continually improves knowledge of insurance industry, products, underwriting requirements, sales, customer service and supporting technology
Mandatory Licensing-
• Must obtain P&C insurance license within 60 days of employment. Must obtain Life insurance license within another 60 days after that. Obtaining licenses are at candidates expense, however (1) test fee and pre-licensing will be reimbursed upon successful completion and after 6 months of employment.
***Because of state licensing requirements, individuals with a felony and some misdemeanors may not be eligible for consideration as you’d likely be unable to be approved for a license. You may want to contact the Indiana Department of Insurance if you have questions about your eligibility for licensing approval.***

Insurance Sales –
• Develops knowledge of the local market dynamics for business development opportunities for all product lines. Home, Auto, Small Business and Life Insurance. Helps the Agency grow by using consultative selling techniques to sell insurance products to new customers. Proactively cross sells and or coordinates with agency team members to provide additional coverage to existing customers. Prospects for new business through leads, telephone calls, networking events, trade shows and personal contacts. (Includes leads through centers of influence, social media, and sales lead groups)
• Secures new business through individual effort and established lead methods
• Prepares quotations and applications and delivers effective presentations in order to close sales
• Complies with underwriting guidelines and contacts appropriate division for underwriting guidance when needed
• Conducts sales and review appointments with prospective and current customers
• Meets and exceeds sales goals
• Develops, maintains, and cultivates community contacts to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities
Customer Service –
• Retains existing customers by providing industry leading customer experiences
• Ensures completion of requested account and policy updates and changes
• Coordinates the involvement of appropriate agency and or business partners when necessary to resolve customer issues
• Advise customer of claims and billing policies and procedures as needed
• Respond to inquiries, issues and complaints in a timely manner
• Maintaining strict client confidentiality
• Understand products, procedures and best practices for promoting policy growth and retention
