A Protégé seeking appointment as a Farmers agency owner must meet the following minimum criteria within 12 months of the Protégé Agency Producer Program Start Date to graduate the program and be eligible for appointment consideration:

• Active property, casualty, life and health licenses • Achieve a minimum of $100,000 in qualifying net New Business (NB) GFP within 12 months after their start date

• Successfully complete Milestones 1-3 of the University of Farmers® Protégé Agency Producer training program o Milestone 4 is not required for graduation of the Protégé program but is required for Full m-time appointment.

• Pass an agency owner candidate background check in accordance with Farmers guidelines, policies, and procedures

The Protégé Agency Producer Program is designed to provide individuals an opportunity to grow their skills and business knowledge to become a Farmers® agency owner while working for an existing Farmers agency owner. The Protégé Agency Producer (“Protégé”) can learn from an industry professional as well as have access to the award-winning University of Farmers® training program and resources that may help the Protégé grow as a business owner should the Protégé one day own their own Farmers agency. If a Protégé meets all applicable eligibility requirements, they will have the opportunity to become an agency owner.
