Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and certified Plumber to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship. This role ensures plumbing systems function efficiently, safely and in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications


Valid Plumbing License/Certification recognized by the state or local jurisdiction (e.g., journeyman or master plumber license).


High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.


Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance (typically 2–5+ years).


Strong working knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and codes.


Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.


Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.


Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.



Preferred Skills & Abilities


Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems.


Familiarity with gas piping, water heater installation, and backflow prevention systems.


Strong communication and customer service skills.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Physical Requirements


Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and tools.


Comfortable working in confined spaces, on ladders, and in varied environmental conditions.


Capable of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing for extended periods.



Working Conditions


Work may include construction sites, residential homes, commercial facilities, and industrial environments. Availability for emergency service calls after hours is likely.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities


These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including water supply lines, drains, fixtures, and appliances.


Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and implement effective solutions.


Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building plans to plan and execute work.


Ensure all plumbing work complies with local, state, and national codes and safety standards.


Perform preventive maintenance on existing plumbing systems to prevent future issues.


Test plumbing systems for leaks, proper pressure, and reliable operation.


Communicate with clients or project supervisors about work performed, necessary repairs, and cost estimates.


Maintain accurate job records, materials used, and time logs.


Respond to emergency plumbing calls as needed.
