Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. In this role, you will act as one of the primary point of contact for policyholders, agents, and third-party providers. Your primary responsibilities will include handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing accurate information regarding insurance products and services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and a solid understanding of insurance policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office; experience with insurance-related software a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Insurance licensure or willingness to obtain licensure within a specified timeframe (depending on the role and region).
Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding insurance coverage, billing, claims, and policy changes.
  • Assist policyholders in filing claims and provide guidance through the claims process.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Educate customers about their insurance options and recommend additional products or services when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with insurance agents and underwriters to address customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay current on insurance industry regulations, trends, and best practices.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as processing policy endorsements, cancellations, and renewals.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance job knowledge and skills.
