Personal Lines Customer Service Agent
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Personal Lines Customer Service Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing an assigned book of business, providing exceptional customer service, and making modifications to accounts as needed. You will work directly with clients to offer risk analysis and coverage recommendations, ensuring their insurance needs are met effectively. The ideal candidate will have a valid Wisconsin Insurance Agent license and possess strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer data and document all interactions accurately in Applied Epic, our agency management system.
Navigate and utilize insurance company websites to process policy changes and handle new business electronically.
Conduct regular reviews with clients to assess their evolving insurance needs and provide guidance on appropriate coverage.
Maintain consistent communication with customers through email and phone to inform them about policy updates or changes.
Assist customers with claims, offering support and guidance throughout the claims process to ensure a smooth experience.
Skills & Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a Business-related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.
2-5 years of experience in personal insurance is preferred.
Current Wisconsin Property & Casualty Insurance license or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen capacity for critical thinking.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; preferred experience with insurance operating systems, particularly Applied Epic.
Position Type and Expected Hours:
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
