Customer Service Representative
Job Overview
The Insurance Agency Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and support. This role involves assisting clients with their insurance inquiries, policy changes, claims processes, and ensuring overall client satisfaction. The CSR works closely with both clients and insurance carriers to address concerns and deliver timely solutions.
Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in an insurance or financial services environment.
- Insurance license (Property & Casualty or Life & Health) or the ability to obtain one within a specified time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with insurance management systems (e.g., AMS360, Applied Epic) preferred.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Assist clients with policy changes, coverage questions, billing inquiries, and claim submissions.
- Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and new applications in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain client records and ensure that all interactions and policy updates are thoroughly documented in the agency management system.
- Liaise between clients and insurance carriers to resolve any issues related to policies, coverage, or claims.
- Educate clients on available insurance products, coverage options, and assist with understanding policy details.
- Assist with generating quotes, preparing insurance documentation, and issuing certificates of insurance as needed.
- Follow up with clients on outstanding documentation or requirements to ensure policies are up-to-date.
- Collaborate with account managers and agents to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and carrier requirements to provide accurate information to clients.
