Farmer Insurance NEW Agent in Training Opportunity
Having the ability to learn the business while working along-side very successful agents has huge benefits. During this process, not only are you paid a salary and commissions, but you will learn from the best. This would include learning how to generate new business sales, marketing, hiring and managing staff and much more.
Another benefit of the Protégé program – Typically to be eligible to own a Farmers Insurance agency, a candidate would be required to have a minimum of $50,000 in liquid assets to be considered. By successfully completing the Protégé program, this requirement is waived. This is an enormous benefit and is a way to work into becoming an agency owner if you lack the liquid assets to qualify from the beginning; Or you simply want to learn the business and get some experience under your belt before running your own show!
Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

The Protégé program is designed to last 12 months. The agent the Protégé is assigned to will be responsible for all pay. The Protégé candidate is trained to generate leads, trained on product and policy knowledge, the sales appointment, policy input, working the book for cross-sell and anything sales related in regard to P&C and Life products. Once they complete the 12-month mentorship, he/she will be eligible to move onto one of the qualifying agency owner program opportunities.
Additional requirements include:
Good credit history – no chapter 7,11 or 13 bankruptcies within the last 12 months.
Favorable criminal record
Favorable driving record
Develop insurance quotes, advise clients.
Meet new business growth goals and objectives as established.
Call prospective customers and current customers to assist them with their insurance needs.
Grow client base by utilizing phone, email, potential client list & existing client referrals.
Discover business ownership.
