The Commercial Insurance Agent is responsible for prospecting, selling, and servicing commercial insurance accounts. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with business clients, understanding their unique insurance needs, and offering tailored coverage solutions. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, goal-oriented, and knowledgeable in various commercial insurance products such as general liability, property, workers compensation, and commercial auto.

Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

• Must be a College graduate or equivalent experience
• Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.
• Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
• Be capable of handling customer rejection.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Must be a Property and Casualty License or willing to acquire one.

• Prospect new business clients through networking, cold calling, referrals, and digital outreach.
• Conduct needs assessments to understand client risks and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
• Prepare and present customized commercial insurance proposals.
• Negotiate terms and premiums with carriers on behalf of clients.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Provide ongoing consultation to clients regarding policy options, renewals, and changes.
• Ensure timely processing of applications, renewals, and endorsements.
• Collaborate with customer service staff to handle certificates of insurance, policy updates, and claims assistance.
• Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system.
• Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with carrier underwriting guidelines.
• Develop working relationships with underwriters and carrier reps.
• Stay updated on carrier products, programs, and underwriting changes.
