Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a body shop technician, preferably in a dealership or high-volume repair shop.
Certification: Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in body repair is highly preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of body shop tools and equipment, including welding, paint mixing, and computerized measurement systems.
Physical Ability: Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy parts, working in various positions, and using tools for extended periods.
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to perform work with precision and accuracy, ensuring high-quality repairs.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose repair needs and develop effective solutions independently.
Communication: Good verbal communication skills to effectively interact with service advisors and customers.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting fellow technicians and contributing to shop success.
Valid Driver's License: A valid state driver's license is required for transporting vehicles as necessary.
Damage Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections to assess the extent of damage to vehicles.
Repair Work: Perform high-quality repair work on vehicle bodies, including dent removal and panel replacement.
Painting: Carry out painting tasks, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.
Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
Client Interaction: Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on repair progress.
