We’re looking for a Production Operator to run our pen writing machines and manage the daily
physical production of direct mail. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role — every piece you
produce goes directly to a real person’s mailbox, and accuracy matters. You’ll be responsible for
envelope addressing, insert matching, quality control, stamping, and preparing completed mail
for USPS pickup. If you take pride in doing precise, physical work and want to be part of a small
team where your output has a direct impact on the business, this is a great fit.
Salary Range: $20.00 per hour
Hourly Base Salary Based on Experience

Mon-Fri Schedule
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Required
• Strong attention to detail — you’ll be verifying thousands of pieces per day and accuracy
is non-negotiable
• Comfort operating light mechanical/automated equipment (pen machines,
stamping/tabbing machines, printers)
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
• Basic computer literacy — you’ll use production software and access files from shared
drives
• Reliable and punctual — production schedules depend on consistent attendance
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once trained
Nice to Have
• Experience operating mail production, printing, or light manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with mail merge workflows or direct mail operations
• Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical or software issues
Machine Operation
• Operate and maintain two pen writing machine systems (Automated Signature and Pen
Point Technologies) that address envelopes with prospect names and addresses
• Load mail merge data files and ensure machines are reading data matrix codes and
written numbers correctly
• Use Flexmail software to manage and monitor production runs
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues; escalate mechanical problems as needed
• Manage ink supply, pen replacements, and report envelope/paper stock levels
Quality Control
• Verify that the insert inside each envelope matches the address written on the outside —
this is critical, especially for orders where each insert contains prospect-specific data
• Catch and flag mismatches before envelopes are sealed and stamped
• Maintain consistent production quality across runs of thousands of pieces
Stamping & Mail Prep
• Operate the tabber/stamping machine to apply forever stamps over the tracking code on
each envelope
• Prepare completed batches for USPS pickup from the PHL office
• Track daily production volume and report output
Inventory & Workspace
• Monitor and communicate supply levels for forever stamps, envelopes, paper stock, pen
ink, and printer consumables
• Keep the production area organized, clean, and efficient
