Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in the finance field, with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting procedures, and financial reporting.
Tech Skills: Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with different departments and stakeholders.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
Compliance: Thorough knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
