Ohio Insurance Agents Summer Internship Program - Phelan Insurance

This internship is with the Phelan Insurance Agency. https://phelanins.com/. They are looking for a Sales/Producer intern for their office in Versailles, OH.

The internship will provide a broad overview of a career within an independent insurance agency. Interns will be exposed to the various insurance processes required to be a successful producer including service, sales, marketing, underwriting, & claims. Interns will learn to perform non-licensed customer service tasks and build their insurance acumen. Interns may be assigned special projects ranging from building marketing plans, customer contact, service enhancements, research, data analytics, and other tasks that will benefit the agency and provide additional learning opportunities.

Interns will also have the opportunity to gain additional exposure to the Insurance Industry by visiting and/or having education sessions with insurance carriers, trade organizations, and the Department of Insurance.

Ohio Insurance Agents (OIA) is the premier trade association for Independent Insurance Agents in Ohio. OIA serves our members in four key areas: advocacy, professional development, business solutions, and industry thought leadership. We represent over 1000 independent agencies across Ohio.

Intern Placement

OIA is coordinating the internship program on behalf of our member agencies. Interns will be interviewed, selected, and employed (paid) by the respective agencies. The HR policies and guidelines of the agency will apply to the internship. In addition to $17-$18/hr students who successfully complete the internship will receive a $750 scholarship from the OIA Foundation.

Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
