Marketing and Communications Leader
Job Overview
The Marketing and Communications leader holds responsibility for leading the organization’s marketing and communication activities and helps direct the review and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the business. This primarily involves strengthening the company’s market presence and helping it find a “voice” that will make a difference in the Independent Agency Channel.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional marketing and communication experience with a passion for the job and the industry to employ unique marketing applications. They will be a skilled marketing leader and able to drive creativity and enthusiasm in others.
The goal is to elevate the organization’s mission and value to members, provide cross-sell opportunities and identify opportunities to expand its market share. It is also to increase engagement from the membership, enhance the communication of the OIA’s value proposition, target members, clients and prospects effectively, use segmentation and analyze results from all marketing and communication strategies.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing from an accredited university
- 10+ years of experience in a marketing position, leading the implementation and execution with a proven track record of success.
- Proven ability to create successful marketing programs and comprehensive marketing campaigns that meet business objectives.
- Experience with Sales Force and Pardot, preferred but not required.
Other Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to read, analyze and understand general business/company related articles and professional journals.
- Ability to speak effectively and confidently before groups internal and external stakeholders.
- Advanced knowledge and utilization of Adobe Creative Suite programs, Microsoft Office programs, Salesforce, Pardot marketing automation tools (email and social marketing systems), and related technology platforms
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Responsibilities
Marketing Responsibilities include:
- Leveraging existing data and tapping into outside resources, deliver a comprehensive view of OIA’s universe that includes segmentation data points and a revised GTM strategy.
- Implementation of the Brand and Marketing strategy for new and existing products: including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR, etc.
- Manage the organization’s brand, ensuring strong and consistent marketing messaging across all companies, programs, and channels to build awareness and demand for our products and services that will reinforce its unique value propositions to our target audiences.
- Working closely with the company’s Sales team; enabling them to meet their goals by delivering MQLs and providing them marketing support in the form of materials, resources, tools, etc.
- Ensuring the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team.
- Work closely with product management and sales team to define marketing materials and programs.
- Manage social media presence, thought leadership, and programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.
- Developing and delivering content marketing and communications strategies for the organization.
- Leverage marketing automation tools for greater efficiencies and develop relevant dashboard data to share with the organization on the impact of marketing.
- Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.
- Manage the marketing functions of products, placement, packaging, pricing, and promotion.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Independent Agent Channel & Association Needs:
- Lead initiatives to promote the value of independent agents to consumers, insurance carriers, government, and other stakeholders.
- Manage the design and development of evergreen marketing materials that can be leveraged by our Independent Agents.
Mission-Critical Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
