Oakland Insurance in Clarkston is looking for our new Commercial Lines Small Business Unit Account Manager. We are currently looking for a Commercial Lines SBU Account Manager with independent agency insurance experience, who has outstanding customer service skills. As an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will manage an assigned book of small-to-mid sized Commercial Lines insurance accounts as the day-to-day client contact. Activities include new and renewal processing and marketing, fielding questions and requests and coverage review.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 per year

Mon-Fri Schedule

Minimum 3 years of experience in independent commercial property and casualty insurance account management.

Strong knowledge of commercial lines coverages including General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, Auto, Umbrella, and Specialty Lines.

Active Property & Casualty license.

Proficiency with agency management systems (EPIC preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational abilities.

• Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned Commercial Lines clients.
• Provide insurance technical expertise to clients and other members of the Account Management team.
• Responsible for marketing and placement of client Commercial Lines insurance (both new & renewal).
• Manage client renewal expirations.
• Negotiate with carriers on behalf of clients.
• Process policies, endorsements and audits as needed.
• Cross-selling and development of customer accounts.
• Respond to underwriter's questions.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems.
