Customer Service Representative


Job Overview

Our dynamic team seeks an enthusiastic individual to provide exceptional customer service to our policyholders. You’ll be responsible for creating insurance policies, advising potential clients on coverage, and converting quotes into new policies. You’ll also help resolve billing issues, change policies, and make policy recommendations. Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Requirements
  • Property & Casualty License REQUIRED.
  • Farmers Insurance experience preferred
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office
  • Previous customer service experience required for this position
  • Knowledge of insurance products and policy schedules is preferred
  • Excellent active listening, interpersonal, and communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Implement office systems and filing procedures to ensure all print and digital documents are organized
  • Oversee administrative assistants and serve as an operations manager to make sure procedures are followed correctly
  • Answer telephone calls and emails to help customers with general questions and then direct more specific inquiries to a customer service representative, or the appropriate department
  • Answer incoming call center questions about insurance policies and insurance coverage issues, as well as consumer complaints and general inquiries
  • Demonstrate accuracy in processing client policy modifications based on the data given
  • Verify new customers coverage and present policyholders with proof of insurance paperwork
  • Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies
  • Stay up-to-date on new marketing efforts to answer insurance product inquiries utilizing all the resources available
  • Handle complaints, present appropriate solutions, and alternatives within the timeframes set, and follow up to ensure that the issue has been resolved
