Job Description

We're looking for a full-time Customer Service Representative to serve as the first point of contact in a local Farmers Insurance agency. In this vital support role, you'll assist clients with policy questions, handle incoming phone calls and emails, process service requests, and ensure a smooth and welcoming customer experience. While this position may involve some light sales activity or support, the primary focus is on delivering outstanding service, maintaining accurate records, and helping existing clients with their insurance needs. You'll be backed by a collaborative team and provided with training to help you thrive in the role.

Salary Range: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Requirements
  • Customer service experience (insurance office or similar environment preferred, but not required).
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in using email, phone systems, and basic computer applications.
  • Must be dependable, responsive, and committed to providing excellent service.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong ethical standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Property & Casualty license is a plus, but not required; willingness to obtain if needed is appreciated.
Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provide prompt, courteous support to clients regarding billing, coverage, documents, and policy changes.
  • Help customers understand their insurance options and assist with routine questions or concerns.
  • Process policy updates, payments, endorsements, and claims information accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow up on outstanding client requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain and update client records and agency systems with attention to detail.
  • Assist the agent and sales team with administrative support and occasional sales-related tasks.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to support retention and satisfaction.
  • Stay current on product knowledge and agency procedures through ongoing training.
