Certification: ASE certified technician and/or GM Certified Technician is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in automotive repair and maintenance, especially in a dealership setting.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of vehicle systems including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
Problem-solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues efficiently.
Communication: Effective communication skills to work with team members and explain issues to customers.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, lifting heavy parts and tools.
License: Valid driver's license is required.
Availability: Flexibility to work during dealership hours, including weekends.
Vehicle Inspection: Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any issues and determine their cause.
Repair and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on various vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brakes, and air conditioning.
Diagnostic Testing: Use diagnostic equipment to evaluate vehicle problems and make accurate diagnoses.
Replace Parts: Remove and replace worn or damaged parts to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Documentation: Maintain clear and thorough documentation of all repair and maintenance tasks performed.
Customer Consultation: Provide excellent customer service by explaining vehicle issues and the necessary repairs to clients.
Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and standard operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest automotive technology trends and best practices for vehicle maintenance.
