LucidITy Networks is seeking an experienced and initiative-taking Information Technology (IT) Engineer to join our team. The IT Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining systems, backups services and networks for our clients’ organizations. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to think critically to identify and resolve potential issues.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in server administration
• Extensive experience of backup solutions, preferred Veeam
• Extensive experience with virtualization and containerization, preferred VMware
• Extensive knowledge of server and storage hardware, operating systems, and applications
• Strong troubleshooting skills and competent knowledge of best practices and industry standards
• Networking experience helpful
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Design, implement, and maintain system infrastructure including servers and storage hardware, operating systems, applications, and networking
• Design, deploy and maintain backup services and disaster recovery plans
• Ability to see potential issues and proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure accessibility
• Collaborate with IT team members to ensure proper functionality of servers, backups and other services
• Manage user accounts, user access rights, and security
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system designs/configurations, and policies
• Consistently and successfully provide 2nd and 3rd level support
• Communication as a liaison with vendors and other IT personnel to resolve issues
• Provide technical support to users and resolve system-related issues.
