Job Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Inbound Commercial Lines Producer to join our growing team.

This sales-focused role is responsible for converting inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads into new commercial insurance business.

Compensation typically includes a base salary plus performance-based commissions and bonuses, with strong earning potential tied to conversion rates and new business revenue.

Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Requirements

Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required (or ability to obtain within 60–90 days).

Experience:

  • 3+ years of CLs sells experience with small to mid-market commercial accounts
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to build rapport quickly and convert warm leads
  • Highly organized and responsive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with CRM/AMS systems
  • Results-oriented with a metrics-driven mindset
  • Ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear, client-friendly way


Responsibilities
  • Lead Qualification & Response: Promptly respond to inbound leads, qualifying prospects based on fit, insurability, and coverage needs.
  • Perform Coverage Reviews, Risk Assessment & Needs Analysis: Gather detailed risk information (operations, exposures, loss history) Evaluate current policies and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
  • Quoting & Proposal Development: Work with carriers and internal teams to obtain competitive quotes. Develop clear, customized proposals outlining coverage, pricing, limits, and value.
  • Sales Presentations & Closing: Conduct consultative sales conversations (primarily virtual/phone). Present recommendations, handle objections, negotiate terms, and close new business.
  • Client Relationship Management: Provide strong follow-up and onboarding. Educate clients on coverage and risk management. Coordinate handoff to account managers for ongoing service.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an active pipeline in CRM/AMS systems. Track lead sources, follow-ups, and conversion metrics to meet production goals.
  • Carrier Collaboration: Submit accurate applications and work with underwriters to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with marketing, account managers, and other producers. Provide feedback to improve inbound lead processes.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on commercial insurance products, carrier appetites, and industry trends.
