Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and customer-centric Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver outstanding service to our clients by addressing their insurance inquiries, assisting with policy management, and guiding them through the claims process. You will collaborate closely with policyholders to resolve their concerns, provide clear and accurate information, and ensure a seamless and positive experience every step of the way.

Salary Range: $35,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Requirements
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework or a degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in customer service, with a preference for candidates with a background in the insurance industry.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance policies, claims processes, and industry terminology is a plus, but not required.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and customer service software (CRM experience is a plus).
  • Licensing: Must have or be willing to obtain the necessary insurance license(s) as required by state regulations.
Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
  • Assist customers with policy changes, renewals, claims, and billing questions.
  • Provide accurate information on coverage options, policy details, and insurance products.
  • Process claims, endorsements, and updates to existing policies.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints with a focus on first-call resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., underwriting, claims) to ensure seamless service.
  • Stay updated on insurance industry trends, policies, and regulations.
