Role Summary

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for outreach to inbound and outbound leads, assessing prospect needs, gathering qualifying information, and booking appointments or warm handoffs to licensed producers. This role represents the agency's brand and values and focuses on creating a professional, trustworthy first impression while generating a steady stream of qualified opportunities for the sales team.

Salary Range: $18.00 per hour

Requirements
  • Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.
  • Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Create relationships from a cold start.
  • Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Must be awesome at opening doors and getting appointments from a cold start.
  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Be capable of handling customer rejection.
  • No insurance experience required but must be willing to learn
Responsibilities
  • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
  • Verify phone numbers, address and email addresses with each customer contact and update customer information.
  • Share training and education knowledge and expertise with team members.
  • Call prospective customers by operating VOIP telephones, automatic dialing systems, and other internet technologies.
  • Cold call, direct email and perform other lead generation activities.
  • Obtain prospects information such as name, address, vehicle information and enter into quote sheets.
  • Maintains phone time or sales quotas as determined by management.
  • Schedule appointments for sales staff to meet prospective customers.
  • Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
