Job Overview

The Agency Manager Trainee position is a structured development role designed for motivated professionals who want to build a career in insurance sales and leadership. This role combines hands-on sales experience with management training, preparing you to eventually lead and grow your own insurance agency or step into a senior leadership role.

You’ll learn how to sell insurance, manage client relationships, grow a book of business, and develop the skills needed to recruit, train, and lead a team.

Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Requirements

Sales, customer service, or leadership experience preferred


Strong communication and relationship-building skills


Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in leadership or business ownership


Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working in a performance-based role


Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment


Insurance license (P&C and/or Life & Health) preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

Learn the fundamentals of insurance sales by working directly with clients and prospects


Build, manage, and grow a personal book of business year over year


Conduct client needs assessments and recommend appropriate coverage solutions


Generate new business through referrals, networking, and lead follow-up


Meet or exceed individual sales goals while progressing through the training program


Learn agency operations including marketing, client retention, and compliance


Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training future team members


Develop leadership skills through coaching, mentorship, and hands-on experience


Participate in structured training, performance reviews, and career development planning
