We are an established and growing property & casualty (P&C) insurance agency proudly representing Farmers Insurance and other leading carriers. Our office, located in historic Old Town San Diego, is seeking a full-time Customer Service & Sales Representative to join our team.

About the role:

• This is a dual-function position where you will:
• Sell auto, home, and life insurance policies to new clients
• Provide excellent service to our existing clients, assisting with policy changes, questions, and renewals

What we offer:

• Competitive base hourly wage
• Commission on new business
• Bonuses for reaching performance targets
• Potential to earn $80,000+ per year (base + commission + bonuses)

What were looking for:

• Previous P&C insurance sales experience preferred
• Active insurance license (P&C, and ideally Life); candidates willing and able to get licensed quickly are encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Motivated, dependable, and organized

Desired Qualifications & Requirements:

• Upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to multi-task, follow through, and follow up effectively.
• Superior computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Active insurance license (P&C and Life & Health) or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (training provided for the right candidate).
• Previous work experience in insurance sales, marketing, promotions, or telemarketing preferred.
• Bilingual (fluent in both English and Spanish) is a definite plus.
• Must have no felony convictions.

• Process client policy change requests promptly and accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new insurance products and offerings.
• Prospect and generate new business through leads, referrals, and networking.
• Provide exceptional customer service to both existing and potential clients.
• Increase sales revenue by leveraging phone, email outreach, and targeted client lists.
• Respond to all inquiries, cancellation requests, and sales opportunities within established timeframes.
• Educate clients on insurance policies that best fit their needs, explaining coverage details and options.
• Issue new policies and clearly communicate their benefits and potential risks to clients.
