Insurance Sales Representative in Training

As a GEICO Insurance Sales Agent in training, we will teach you the basics of salesmanship, how to listen to our customers, identify their needs, answer all of their questions, and overcome objections.
What to expect as a Sales Rep in training
Within the first two months of hire you will:
- study and pass the Kentucky Personal Lines Insurance Licensing exam
- Learn GEICO’s systems and go through sales trainings to prepare for the sales job
- Demonstrate understanding and application of sales techniques through structured and hands-on learning
- Part of the day will include calling existing leads
- Provide additional support in completing administrative tasks
- Salary increase upon completion of licensing and training
Salary Range: $40.00 - $65.00 per year

Requirements
Requirements for this position include :
- Can quickly obtain a Property and Casualty or Personal Lines Insurance License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess a strong desire to work and succeed in a competitive sales environment
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- High level of dependability
- Solid computer, grammar, and multi-tasking skills
- Strong attention to detail with time management and decision-making skills
- Demonstrate an ability to be persuasive; persistent and confident in closing a sale
- Working comfortably in a high volume call office
- Be willing to adapt to change- GEICO is an ever-changing company
- Ability to work at least one Saturday a month
- Bilingual is a plus
Responsibilities
A typical day as a GEICO Sales Representative will include :
- Preparing personalized rate quotes
- Providing guidance on selecting appropriate insurance coverage
- Selling policies!
- No cold calling required
- Servicing existing customers
