Job Overview

The Agent Apprentice will support the agency’s operations while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the insurance field. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to start a career in insurance, providing training and mentorship to develop skills in client management, sales, and policy administration. All while working towards becoming your own agent. We are looking for driven and entrepreneurial individuals!

Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Requirements

Education: Bachelor degree preferred; High school diploma or an equivalent required.

Experience: Experience in insurance sales or a related field preferred, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Licensing: Valid insurance producer license in Property and Casualty and/or Life, Health, and Accident in the state of Missouri (or willingness to obtain one/both).

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling to build a robust client portfolio.
  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their insurance needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Policy Recommendations: Analyze clients’ insurance requirements and recommend appropriate coverage options, including life, health, property, and casualty insurance.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and changes in regulations to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters and other team members to ensure effective policy implementation and client satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the agency management system
  • Training and Development: Participate in training sessions to learn about various insurance products, sales techniques, and industry regulations.
