Job Description

The Agency Business Consultant (ABC) position, as it in known within Farmers, is designed for dedicated business coaches who can help Farmers Agency Owners drive the growth of their business. Working closely with Jeff Schroeder, our District Manager, these professions typically conduct regular agency consultation visits to assist agents and their staff in establishing business goals and developing strategies to execute their business plans. ABCs provide ongoing training, coaching, and support to enhance productivity, build bigger, more profitable, and stronger Farmers Agencies. 

ABCs also effect guidance and assistance to new agents coming into the District. ABCs help develop agency business plans and provide personalized support for them. ABCS help new agents be successful from Day 1. This may include assisting them through entry points, finding a new office location, agency setup, training on hiring the most effective staff for their agency and recommending marketing systems and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

Our District is looking for an individual with Business Acumen, coaching ability, and problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and respect are also a must. Time Management is a necessary skill for this position. This position within the District Office is a Teamwork driven position that not only works in tandem with the District Office team and Agency Owners assigned to the ABC's team.

  • Be able to obtain or currently possess a General Lines Property & Casualty Texas insurance license.
  • Ability to obtain or possess an a General Lines Life, Health and Accident Texas insurance license.
  • Display leadership competencies, including ability to delegate, engage, and inspire others.
  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills.
  • Successful sales background.
