Farmers Insurance - District 22/25 is looking for a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative to work out of one of our thriving agencies. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented environment and enjoy connecting with people to drive new business, this role is for you.

Ready to transfer your sales experience into business ownership? We provide a unique, structured 12-month Agency Ownership Mentorship Program designed for driven individuals who want to learn exactly what it takes to successfully run a business before launching one of their own.

You won't be learning from the sidelines.

Working directly alongside an experienced mentor agent, you will gain hands-on experience in agency operations, marketing, sales pipeline management, and team leadership. This role is specifically designed as an active stepping stone for future entrepreneurs.

As you successfully grow through the program and reach designated milestones, you will have the opportunity to graduate into your own Farmers agency—with the unique advantage of bypassing the standard initial capital review typically required for agency ownership. No start-up capital required!

Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Requirements
  • Active or ability to obtain Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses (fully-paid by Farmers)
  • Proficiency in Communication and excellent Customer Service skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a hybrid environment
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry is an advantage but not mandatory
Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting, networking, and community engagement
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive retention and referrals
  • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and coverage options
  • Follow up on leads quickly and consistently to move prospects through the sales pipeline
  • Prepare quotes, present solutions, and close sales to meet production goals
