About the Protégé Agent Program

As a Protégé Agent, you'll work alongside an experienced Farmers Agent in your community, gaining valuable knowledge in:

  • Sales and client relationship building
  • Customer service and policy management
  • Business operations and agency growth strategies

This 12-month training program is designed to set you up for success. Upon completion, qualified candidates will have the opportunity to open their own Farmers Insurance agency.

Salary Range: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Requirements
  • One year of sales and/or marketing experience is required
  • Familiar with multiple computer platforms (Windows, Google, CRM's.) is required
  • Ability to obtain or already carry insurance licenses
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take risks
  • Genuine thirst to learn to be mentored
  • Great self-starter and operate with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
Responsibilities

Training and Development (includes but not limited to):

  • Sales lead tracking and management using CRM tools
  • Multi-channel prospecting including substantial phone and email follow-up
  • Customer suitability and insurance coverage consultation
  • Development and presentation of insurance proposals
  • Establish and support client relationships with timely and exceptional service
  • Agency office operations including fiduciary responsibilities, staffing, team management
  • Professional networking including social media, business to business, referral groups, etc.
