Job Overview

5 years ago, I drove a fuel truck for a living. Like many people, I worked 60-80 hours a week to make ends meet, thanks to overtime pay. If I didn't deliver fuel, no one else was around to do so, so taking days off was non-existent. I worked the job of 3 people and got paid just enough for 1 person to survive, but never get ahead. I bet this sounds familiar to you. We work for others for a lifetime to have them fire us, merge with another company, and lose our job, or get paid so little were constantly looking for the next bigger paycheck. I got tired of the rat race. I have a wife, 6 kids, a mortgage, a truck payment, and feed for animals on my farm.

I always liked sales, though I never had any experience in the industry, I knew I wanted to build a legacy and make what I am worth for once, and not what someone tells me I am worth.

God provided me with the opportunity at Farmers Insurance. I applied even with no experience, spoke with the agency owner, and told him how motivated I was to build my own legacy. He took a chance on me, and I started. I did well and then joined the protege program through Farmers Insurance, which allows people within 12 months of meeting certain requirements to open up their own Farmers Insurance Agency and waives the financial requirement of $50,000 for graduating through the program. I could have graduated within 60 days of entering the program. I blew the requirements away. I stayed on so the agency owner could replace me and opened my own office. I am offering the same program for those who have the drive, motivation, and mental attitude to want to be successful. want to build their own legacy, and want to provide for themselves and their family. Those who are tired of people telling them what they are worth. I won't lie, as an agent, I worked 7 days a week, 12 hours a day just to make sure I was successful, but that was my choice, not a requirement. I knew what I wanted, and I was not going to let anything stop me from reaching my goal. You will earn commission on what you produce here, just like you would as an agency owner. The difference is that within 12 months, you should be graduating from the program and opening your own agency in your resident state. I will make sure you are successful not only as an agent but also as an agency owner.

No experience is needed in the insurance industry, but you will have to have your insurance license in Property, Casualty, Life & Health before joining the agency and the program. I pay for the licensing training for you through ExamFX.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Must obtain and maintain Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses prior to joining (licensing training provided).

Responsibilities
  • Own the full client relationship from initial quote to close and ongoing service, including asking for the sale and confidently guiding customers to a decision.
  • Master Property & Casualty and Life & Health products well enough to operate as an independent agency owner — not just a salesperson.
  • Follow proven systems, scripts, and processes exactly as trained, then execute them consistently at a high level.
  • Take full responsibility for your results. You will be coached, trained, and supported — but your success is determined by your effort, discipline, and execution.
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement. Training is provided; absorbing it, applying it, and performing is your responsibility.
  • Operate with urgency, professionalism, and a growth mindset every day.
  • This role is demanding and performance-driven. It is designed for individuals who want ownership, not comfort.
