Medicare Sales Specialist


Job Overview

The Farmers Insurance District 54 Office is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Medicare Specialist to join our team!

In this role, you will be a vital resource for our clients, providing expert guidance and support regarding Medicare options, enrollment, and related services. You will empower individuals to make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage, ensuring they understand their benefits and navigate the complexities of the Medicare system.

Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Requirements

Strong understanding of Medicare eligibility, enrollment periods, and regulations(or willing to obtain).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Strong organizational and time management skills. 

Proficiency in computer applications, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid Minnesota Insurance License (or ability to obtain).

Certified in AHIP (or willing to obtain).

Strong ethical standards and a commitment to client confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Client Consultation and Education: Conduct comprehensive consultations with clients to assess their healthcare needs and financial situations.
  • Explain Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, as well as Medicare Advantage and Medigap plans, in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Educate clients on eligibility requirements, enrollment periods, and plan options.
  • Provide personalized recommendations based on individual client needs and preferences.
  • Answer client questions and address concerns regarding Medicare benefits and related services.
  • Enrollment and Application Assistance: Assist clients with Medicare enrollment applications and related paperwork.
  • Guide clients through the process of comparing and selecting Medicare plans.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of enrollment documents.
  • Troubleshoot enrollment issues and resolve client concerns.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare regulations, guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Medicare rules and regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes to Medicare policies and communicate updates to clients.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and insurance companies to resolve issues and facilitate communication.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
  • Prepare reports and track enrollment data.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
