Crane Technologies Group is a leading manufacturer of custom overhead cranes and material-handling systems serving industrial and government customers across the U.S. We are seeking a skilled Panel Builder / Machine Wire Technician to join our growing electrical team at our Rochester Hills manufacturing facility.
Position Overview
This role is responsible for building, wiring, and testing electrical control panels, machine wiring, and conduit systems for overhead bridge cranes, hoists, and related equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and comfortable working from electrical schematics.
Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in panel building, machine wiring, or industrial electrical work
• Experience installing and bending conduit (hand benders and mechanical benders)
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and ladder diagrams
• Experience with industrial control components (VFDs, motors, sensors, limit switches)
• Familiarity with 480V / 240V / 120V industrial control systems
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
• Overhead crane, hoist, or material-handling equipment experience
• PLC / VFD wiring experience
• UL 508A panel wiring familiarity
• Field installation or commissioning experience

Key Responsibilities
• Build and wire electrical control panels for overhead crane systems
• Perform machine wiring on cranes, hoists, and electrification systems
• Install, bend, and secure conduit (EMT, rigid, or flexible as required) for crane and control wiring
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts
• Install components such as VFDs, contactors, relays, PLC I/O, and terminal blocks
• Perform continuity checks, point-to-point testing, and functional testing
• Troubleshoot wiring and electrical issues during build and shop testing
• Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled panels, conduit, and wiring
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
