We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Bilingual Health Insurance Specialist who is fluent in both Korean and English to support our clients with Individual Health Plans, Medicare, and Group Health Plans. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about helping clients navigate their healthcare options particularly during open enrollment periods.

Prior health experience is preferred, but not necessary! Willingness to learn and grow is a requirement.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Requirements:

• Professional fluency in Korean and English (verbal and written)
• Prior experience in health insurance is preferred; however not required
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple enrollment deadlines
• Customer-first mindset and problem-solving attitude
• AHIP certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Willingness and thoughtfulness to be a team player

1. Individual Health Plan Support

• Assist with Open Enrollment (11/01 - 12/15 annually)
• Guide members in selecting appropriate plans
• Handle service issues including payments, claims, and PCP changes
• Communicate directly with carriers on behalf of members
• Complete required training and certifications prior to each OEP

2. Medicare Services

• Support Annual Enrollment (10/15 12/07) and Open Enrollment (01/01 03/31)
• Attend annual training sessions and carrier kickoff meetings (virtual & in-person)
• Maintain valid AHIP certification and complete carrier certifications annually
• Help members enroll in Medicare plans and address their service needs
• Coordinate with carriers to resolve member issues

3. Group Health Plan Administration

• Provide quotes and enroll plans for group clients
• Handle group renewals, enrollments, and employee terminations
• Attend group meetings and support customer inquiries
• Assist with carrier communications and any required follow-ups

4. Additional Support

• Assist clients with applying for Medicare Cards and Social Security Retirement Benefits

• Marketing Assistance and Thoughtfulness
• Participate in client seminars as needed
