Job Overview

Cook Insurance Agency is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Insurance Sales Specialist to join our growing team (in-person or remote) in New Ulm, Minnesota. As an Insurance Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for building relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their insurance needs, and recommending appropriate products and solutions from our comprehensive range of offerings. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and ensuring client satisfaction.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Requirements

Required:

Valid Minnesota Insurance License for Property & Casualty (licensing assistant available, willing to train, able to obtain license within 60 days).

Valid Minnesota Insurance License for Life & Health (licensing assistant available, willing to train, able to obtain license within 60 days).

Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of success.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

Strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow.

Proficiency in basic computer applications.

Previous experience in insurance sales, preferably with both Property & Casualty and Life & Health products.


Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

As an Insurance Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Generating new business: Actively prospecting and developing leads through various methods, including networking, referrals, and community involvement.

Understanding client needs: Conducting thorough needs assessments to identify the specific insurance requirements of individuals and families for both Property & Casualty and Life & Health products.

Presenting tailored solutions: Educating clients on the benefits and features of various insurance policies offered by our diverse carrier partners.

Quoting and closing deals: Providing accurate and competitive quotes and effectively guiding clients through the application and policy issuance process.

Building and maintaining relationships: Providing exceptional customer service to existing clients, fostering long-term relationships, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.

Staying up-to-date: Continuously learning about new insurance products, industry trends, and sales techniques.

Meeting and exceeding sales goals: Driven by a merit-based compensation structure, you will be motivated to achieve and surpass established sales targets.

Adhering to ethical and compliance standards: Operating with the highest level of integrity and adhering to all insurance regulations.
