·1-2 years experience in an insurance agency commercial lines department preferred
Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent education and/or experience preferred
Firm working knowledge of commercial property & casualty coverages and services
P&C insurance license must be obtained
Ability to work with computer technology with little instruction
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Confer with customers by telephone or in-person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints.
Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems.
Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results or any planned adjustments.
Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, or arrange for billing.
Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Participate in office meetings as directed by the manager
