Step into the driver’s seat as our newest Sales Development Representative (SDR) and take ownership of your growth from the very beginning. In this pivotal role, you’ll be partnered with one other SDR to form a dynamic duo at the heart of our client outreach.

Your mission? To connect with pre-qualified, high-intent insurance shoppers across Missouri – no cold calling, no guesswork. All leads are warm and ready to talk. You’ll reach out via phone, text, or email (all remote) and guide these potential clients through the first steps of their insurance journey. Once engaged, you’ll transfer them to one of our licensed agents who will assist them with selecting the right coverage.

You’ll earn hourly pay plus a bonus for every successful transfer – giving you a stable income with real opportunity to grow your earnings.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per year

Requirements

Strong Communication Skills: You’re comfortable talking to people over the phone, writing clear messages, and explaining things in a way that’s easy to understand.

People-First Mindset: You genuinely enjoy helping others and can build rapport quickly with all types of people.

Highly Reliable & Self-Motivated: You take ownership of your role, manage your time well, and stay on top of your goals—especially in a remote work environment.

Comfortable Working Remotely: You have a quiet, professional home workspace, a reliable internet connection, and the discipline to stay focused while working independently.

Team Player Attitude: You’re excited to work closely with your SDR partner and collaborate with agents to create a seamless experience for clients.

Basic Tech Skills: You’re comfortable using communication tools (like Zoom, Slack, or Dialer software) and CRM systems (or can learn quickly).

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Previous Customer Service or Sales Experience is a Plus (but not required): If you’ve worked in retail, hospitality, call centers, or other client-facing roles, you’ll likely thrive here.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with Pre-Qualified Leads: Connect with warm leads via phone, text, and email—no cold calling required. All prospects have already expressed interest in insurance products
  • Conduct Initial Outreach: Make the first contact with potential clients in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner to assess their needs and confirm their interest in speaking with an insurance expert.
  • Educate and Inform: Provide basic information to prospects about the insurance process, helping them feel more confident and comfortable before speaking with a licensed agent.
  • Client Handoff: Seamlessly transfer interested and qualified prospects to licensed insurance agents on the team, ensuring a smooth transition and setting the stage for a positive client experience.
  • Collaborate with Your Partner SDR: Work closely with your SDR teammate to manage leads, optimize outreach, and maximize the number of successful client transfers each day.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Track all outreach, interactions, and transfers using the agency’s CRM tools and systems.
  • Deliver High-Quality Customer Experiences: Represent The Avery Agency’s values by treating every prospect with care, respect, and a helpful attitude.
  • Meet and Exceed Performance Goals: Hit daily and weekly targets for outreach volume, transfer success rate, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay Aligned with Team Goals: Regularly communicate with licensed agents and leadership to stay aligned on client needs, feedback, and improvement opportunities.
