The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's office is accepting applications for a full-time Administrative Assistant position. The starting salary for this position is $32,000 - $34,000 annually ($15.38 - $16.35 per hour) and comes with a full benefits package, including free health insurance, two retirement programs, paid sick/vacation/holiday leave, free life insurance policy, and more.

The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s office is located in the Callaway County Justice Center at 5 East 2nd Street in Fulton, MO. The normal business hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, call center operations, or banking is advantageous.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

As an Administrative Assistant at the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, you will be responsible for various administrative tasks crucial to the efficient functioning of our office. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering phones, processing mail, and greeting visitors
  • Overseeing the crime victims’ restitution program:
  • Monitoring restitution payments
  • Collecting, logging, and disbursing restitution payments
  • Assisting with paperwork for missed payments
  • Managing purchases and assisting with office finances:
  • Preparing and collecting invoices, coordinating payments with county offices, and ensuring payments are made promptly
  • Managing training and travel arrangements for employees, trial witnesses, and crime victims
  • Making bank deposits and assisting with audits
  • Handling the purchase of office supplies and equipment
