The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office invites applications for a full-time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney (APA) to join our dedicated team. Priority consideration will be given to applicants with a demonstrated commitment to or interest in the prosecution of domestic violence cases.

The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney's office is located inside the Callaway County Justice Center at 5 East 2nd Street, Fulton, MO 65251. The normal office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm with weekends and holidays off. However, due to the nature of the position, the selected applicant may have to perform outside of normal office hours on occasion.

• Previous prosecution experience is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Review and evaluate case referrals from law enforcement.
• Draft and file criminal charges.
• Prosecute felony and misdemeanor cases through trial or plea.
• Appear frequently in court, handling a variety of proceedings, including bench and jury trials.
