Job Overview
The Commercial Lines Middle Market Producer is responsible for generating new business and managing relationships with prospective and existing commercial clients. This role focuses on driving revenue growth by acquiring and retaining middle-market accounts through strategic prospecting, relationship management, and the delivery of tailored insurance solutions. The Producer will work closely with internal service teams and insurance carriers to design comprehensive commercial insurance programs, including property, casualty, liability, auto, workers compensation, and specialty lines, while advising clients on risk management strategies and emerging industry trends.

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in middle-market accounts.
- Active NM P&C Insurance License required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge of commercial lines products, including property, general liability, commercial, auto, workers compensation, umbrella/excess liability, and industry-specific coverages.
- Thorough understanding of risk assessment principles, with the ability to develop tailored insurance programs for complex business operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical coverage concepts in clear terms.
- Skilled in negotiating coverage terms, rates, and conditions with clients and insurance carriers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with business owners, executives, risk managers, prospects and colleagues.
- Ability to solve problems and identify solutions.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier portals; ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms.
Salary: DOE - Commission + Bonus
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the middle-market segment through prospecting, networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new clients in a variety of industries.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to analyze current coverage, identify exposures, and recommend enhancements.
- Present customized insurance proposals that address each clients specific needs and budget considerations.
- Provide ongoing consultation to clients on coverage options, renewals, claims, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry developments, market conditions, and changes in commercial insurance products.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., account managers, service teams) to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage options with insurance carriers to deliver competitive and comprehensive programs.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events to strengthen relationships and expand networks.
- Conduct open enrollment periods ensuring a seamless transition to new benefit plans.
- Keep clients informed about compliance requirements, contractual obligations, and legal changes that may affect coverage.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, proposals, and transactions in the agency management system.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance performance and support career growth.
