Our team is seeking a motivated and dedicated Insurance Sales Specialist to join our agency. As an Insurance Sales Specialist with American Family Insurance, Dern Agency Inc., you’ll contact prospective clients and help customers determine which of our plans best fits their needs while building lasting relationships with them.

Job Description

The Insurance Sales Specialist is a licensed insurance producer who sells automotive, property, casualty, life, and other types of insurance policies and coverage. This position is a W2 commission-based employee.

 

Objectives of this role

An Insurance Sales Specialist is responsible for contacting potential clients, assessing their insurance needs, explaining different policy options, and selling appropriate insurance plans by building rapport and understanding their financial situation, ultimately aiming to close sales and achieve goals through effective sales strategies. 

Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Preferred Qualifications

·        High school diploma or equivalent required

·        Property and Casualty, Life insurance licenses required before starting

·        Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

·        Background check required

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

Source potential clients through professional networks, cold calls, and referrals.   

Engage with prospective clients through email, phone, or in person to discuss the company’s insurance offerings.

Explain various insurance policies and products to potential clients, guiding them toward the best option to meet their needs.

Issue quotes, maintain client records, prepare reports, and answer client questions about insurance plans and policies.

Build customized insurance policies and packages.

Close sales and bind insurance policies.

Achieve sales goals.

Become familiar with and retain information about the insurance plans offered.

Stay knowledgeable of insurance trends and practices.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
