The key responsibility of this position is to boost the customer base by selling attractive insurance plans to present and potential clients while handling accounts daily. Our agents have an opportunity to make additional income with commissions. The office is equipped with all the conveniences necessary to complete your job tasks.

• Property and Casualty License necessary. Willing to provide the support to the right individual.
• Knowledge of Agency Management Systems (AMS) and Basic computer software.
• Capacity to plan and prioritize one's workday.
• Ability to be open-minded, listen actively to comprehend directions and process new information. Work effectively with colleagues to ensure teamwork and productivity.
• Establish a professional work setting to generate a healthy atmosphere and guarantee effective communication.

• Develop relationships with clients to build a customer base.
• Generate leads through cold-calling and other sources.
• Advise clients on suitable insurance policies depending on their needs and objectives. Negotiate deals and close sales effectively.
• Shop renewals based on business updates and plans and current market conditions. 
• Constantly looking for new opportunities to cross-sell/account rounding.
• Nurture strong customer relationships and aim to increase client retention and product loyalty.
• Update and Make changes to insurance policies as needed.

About the Insurance Agency

The agency is an established and growing insurance entity in Northwest Indiana whose roots date back to 1928. There are currently five full-time employees. The agency recently acquired a bank-owned insurance agency and seeks to acquire other well-positioned businesses in Indiana and neighboring states, while continuing to grow its existing book of business.
